| Regarding the Homecoming concerts & rehearsals, For those of you who would like to join the Senior Mixed Choir and perform at the Homecoming concerts, may I have your attention please. As Mr. # mentioned long time ago during DCS rehearsals that SMC would be singing "Amor" (Spanish), he later added that the 2nd song would be 1812 (would be familiar to some of you). But 2 days ago, Mr. # was still struggling whether he should replace the 1812 with another a cappella or not, because originally Mr. # suggested we would have TWO rehearsals, one on 7 July, one (dress rehearsal) on 12 July. Apparently, Mr. # is worried that our boys and girls would find it difficult to learn 2 new songs especially one of a foreign language and the other is without the piano. So just to remind you that at this moment, a lot of things are to be confirmed. Samuel Siu wants to remind all of you that there should be no rehearsal tomorrow, and updates about the concerts and rehearsals will be posted up as soon as possible. Lastly, about the tickets. Unfortunately there are no more tickets available for the first night, i.e. 13th. but I hope there are still some $250 or $350 available at URBTIX for 14th. $100 or $500 tickets were all sold out. | 13th March, 2007. Dear Boys and Girls of the DBGS Senior Mixed Choir, I write to all of you in the hope that my words may soothe your disappointment from yesterday unfortunate event and express my confidence in the Choir. First of all, I apologise for not being able to support you in person yesterday. Albeit my absence from the event, I have known of the happening from James?account and your Xanga sites. And although I have left the Choir for two years, I still share the very same emotions that you do now. It would be quite impossible for you to totally recuperate from the mishap, especially when you had dedicated so much of your efforts to sing for the beauty of music and for our Schools. Yet, never give up. I am proud of all of you for giving, what the adjudicator commented as, he performance that was almost perfect? That is why I, as with any other Diocesan, believe that you will strive for the glory of our Schools and excel in the competitions to come. The DBGS Spirit is not only about being the best of the best, or bringing the best out of the best. Instead, it is the spirit of bringing the best out of everything, even at the worst of all times. It is most often that following a seemingly fatal defeat, Diocesans triumph and succeed. Shed not so much of your tears, for you still have a beautiful battle to win tomorrow.
